How To Perform a Factory Reset (IP2M-852)

Prior to performing a physical, hard factory reset, it is recommended to first perform a reset via the web user interface (Web UI) of the camera on a computer. This is useful as well if you do not have direct, physical access to your camera. For more information on how to perform a factory reset in the web UI of your camera, click here.

Performing a factory reset on your device will restore your camera back to its original default factory settings. For more information on how to reset your camera, follow the instructions provided below. 

Note: You will need a Phillips head screwdriver to complete this procedure. 

Step 1: Ensure the camera is powered on and an Ethernet cable is plugged into the camera. 

Step 2: Locate the cover on the bottom of the camera. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the bottom cover of the camera.

Step 3: In the panel you will notice a microSD card slot and an RST button. The RST button is the factory reset button.

Step 4: Press and hold the RST button for 30 seconds allowing the camera to fully reset. Once reset, the camera will revert to its original factory settings. The default username and password for the camera will be admin.
