How To Setup Anti-Dither, Latch, and Post Record

Anti-ditherLatch, and Post Record are used to specify how the system behaves when a motion event is detected.

  • Anti-dither: After an initial motion event is detected, the system will continue to record video if a second motion event occurs within the set Anti-dither period.
  • Latch: Determines how long an alarm output device (not included – sold separately) will remain active after motion is detected.
  • Post Record: Determines how long the system records video for after a motion is detected.

To configure anti-dither, latch, and post record settings:

  1. Right-click on the Live View to access the Main Menu.

  2. Click Main Menu and then click the Alarm tile located in the main menu.

  3. In the Alarm menu, click on the Video Detect tab to access motion settings.

  4. Select the channel you would like to configure from the Channel drop-down.

  5. Ensure the Enable toggle switch is toggled to the on position.

  6. Enter the Anti-ditherLatch, and Post Record time in seconds.Anti_Dither1.PNG

NOTE: On some firmware versions, Post Record may be written as Post REC.
