Programming Your Radio (ATR-22)

This will require the use of plugging the radio to your computer with a programming cable. The programming cable for these radios are sold separately. To purchase a programming cable for your radio, please click here. For step by step instructions on programming your radio, follow the instructions provided below:

Step 1: Ensure the radio is turned off and insert the programming cable into the radio. Then, plug the USB connector into a USB port on your computer. 

Step 2: Click here to download and install the programming software for your radio.

Step 3: Open the software and click the Read icon located near the top of the screen. 

Step 4: A smaller window will appear. Turn on your radio and make sure that the volume knob is turned all the way up and click OK.

Step 5: The radio will download a channel list where frequency adjustments can be made.

Step 6: After all frequencies have been confirmed, click on the Write icon to upload the selected frequencies onto the radio and click OK.

Step 7: After the frequencies have been successfully uploaded, turn the radio off and remove the programming cable. 

The ATR-22 has now been successfully programmed!
