Calculating HDD space Manually.

Here is the formula for calculating hard drive space for a Amcrest DVR manually:

Hard drive space = (number of cameras * resolution * frame rate * recording days) / 8

Note: If you have 4 cameras connected to your DVR, each with a resolution of 1080p and a frame rate of 30fps, and you want to record video for 7 days, you will need a hard drive with a capacity of at least:

(4 cameras * 1080p * 30fps * 7 days) / 8 = 10368000 bytes

This is equivalent to 10.368 GB of hard drive space.

Here are some additional tips for calculating hard drive space for your Amcrest DVR:

  • If you have a lot of cameras or you want to record video for a long period of time, you will need a hard drive with a larger capacity.
  • If you have cameras with different resolutions or frame rates, you will need to calculate the hard drive space for each camera individually and then add up the total.
