Setting the camera to a static IP will allow the camera to retain an assigned IP address for your device. The Amcrest Smart Home app allows you to set your device to a static IP address. For more information on how to set your device to a static IP, please refer to the information provided below.
Step 1: Open the Amcrest Smart Home app and access the device. Tap on Settings ().
Step 2: Tap on Device Information.
Step 3: Tap on the IP Address field. Please note, the IP address shown in this field may be different than the IP address shown in the image.
Step 4: Tap on the Wireless IP field and enter a static IP address. Please enter an IP address within the network range (2-254) ensuring it does not clash with an existing IP address. Tap the icon.
Note: The camera will be inaccessible for 1-2 minutes while the static IP is being set. Allow the camera to initialize, close the Amcrest Smart Home app, and access the device. The device will not be set with a static IP.
