How To Perform a Factory Reset (IP2M-843E)

Prior to performing a physical, hard factory reset, it is recommended to first perform a reset via the web user interface (Web UI) of the camera on a computer. This is useful as well if you do not have direct, physical access to your camera. For more information on how to perform a factory reset in the web UI of your camera, click here.

Performing a factory reset on your device will restore your camera back to default factory settings. For more information on how to reset your camera, follow the instructions provided below. 

Step 1: Remove the sun cover from the top of the camera and twist the top of the camera to remove the lens cover. 

Step 2: Locate the factory reset button on the side of the camera. The factory reset button will be on the motherboard of the camera as referenced in the image below.

Step 3: Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds allowing the camera to reset. Once reset, the camera will return to its original factory settings. The default username and password will be reset to admin.
