How To Perform a Factory Reset (IP4M-1054E)

Prior to performing a physical, hard factory reset, it is recommended to first perform a reset via the web user interface (Web UI) of the camera on a computer. This is useful as well if you do not have direct, physical access to your camera. For more information on how to perform a factory reset in the web UI of your camera, click here.

To perform a physical, hard factory reset to your camera, please follow the steps provided below.

Note: You will need a Phillips head screwdriver to access the factory reset switch of your device.

Step 1: Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the security plate located on the bottom of your camera.

Press and hold the factory reset switch for 20 - 30 seconds and then release. Allow the camera to complete its reset process. Please note, once the camera is successfully reset the login credentials will change to admin for both the username and password. Also, when creating a new password, it is recommended to have a minimum of 8 characters consisting of a combination of uppercase letters, Lowercase letters, and numbers.
