Prior to performing a physical, hard factory reset, it is recommended to first perform a reset via the web user interface (Web UI) of the camera on a computer. This is useful as well if you do not have direct, physical access to your camera. For more information on how to perform a factory reset in the web UI of your camera, click here.
To perform a hard reset on your camera, please make sure to have the camera plugged into a power source. Additionally, since the Wi-Fi will be reset, ensure the camera has an Ethernet cable plugged in and directly connected to your network.
Step 1: On the wire harness of the camera, locate the reset wires attached to the unit. The reset wires will be denoted by a green and white wire.
Step 2: Touch the ends of the wires together and hold for 30 seconds. Separate the wires and give about the camera an additional minute to complete the reset process.
Congratulations! You have just factory reset your camera. You can now log into your camera using the default username and password which is admin.
