How To Perform a Factory Reset
The actual reset process on these models requires opening the camera and getting to mother board. These cameras do not bring a reset switch or wire to perform the process.
Note: Prior to performing a physical, hard factory reset, it is recommended to first perform a reset via the web user interface (Web UI) of the camera on a computer. This is useful as well if you do not have direct, physical access to your camera. For more information on how to perform a factory reset in the web UI of your camera, click here.
Step 1: Unscrew the top of the camera to access the camera's motherboard.
Step 2: Using a paperclip or something similar, then touching the filaments together for at least 5 seconds and essentially causing a brief short circuit.
The camera will being the reset process after this has been complete. Please note that once your device resets, you will lose all custom settings set for your camera and your username and password will revert to its original default settings, which is admin.
