GUIDE: HOW TO PERFORM A HARD FACTORY RESET

A hard factory reset is a process to return a camera to its original mode as it was set by the manufacturer. A power cycle (turning camera off and then on) will solve most issues; however other issues require a hard factory reset. Although, a factory reset option is available through the local Amcrest WebUI, resetting the camera this way will not completely revert all the settings to its factory mode. To perform this process, reconfiguration of your camera is necessary.
The bullet camera does come with a reset button located at the bottom of the housing that will require disassembling. Please ensure the camera is powered on while performing this process. See the instructions below to perform a factory reset:
- Locate the two screws under the camera.
2. Loosen the screws and remove them. Set the screws aside and take the cover off to expose the MicroSD card slot and reset button.
3. Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds while the camera is still connected to power.
4. The camera will reset.
Please note that your password and username will also reset back to admin. We recommend changing your password immediately. If you are using the Amcrest View app to configure, please ensure to delete the previous profile for the camera you have just reset then add the camera as a new camera under Device Manager.
